2012 Doomsday
No one knows for sure what will happen in 2012. There is a huge list of possibilities based on predictions, prophecy, theory, archaeology, and even scientific findings. Some of the possible 2012 Doomsday scenarios stem from religious or sacred beliefs. Others come to us from astrology, and astronomy. It isn’t any secret that ancient texts like the Bible and the Hindu Sanskrit, among other highly respected teachings, have warned that the end of times would arrive at some point in the future. Other end of the world predictions come to us from Nostradamus, Einstein and Isaac Newton.
Saying that absolutely nothing will happen and completely disregard this 2012 Doomsday thing entirely really makes no sense at all. Understanding what could happen and being prepared in the event that it does is what most intelligent people do today. After all you do have insurance on your house, car and health in the event that something unexpected occurs. You wouldn’t go through any other day of your life without the proper insurance against peril and loss.
Not all of what is being predicted for or tied into the 2012 events makes a great deal of sense. I’m sure no one on the planet is actually hoping that December 21, 2012 doesn’t drag its feet in arriving. Time passes fast enough already and no one wants the world to end! Given the choice most people would probably vote for spiritual enlightenment and an end to hunger, hatred and chaos over the end of the world.
That’s the other side of the argument regarding 2012, that it is the dawning of a new age and a time of spiritual enlightenment. Whether you believe it will be 2012 Doomsday, or 2012 Ascension it all began with the Mayan calendar known as the Long Count. None of this interest in the Mayan calendar ending on December 21, 2012 just started overnight, the doomsday scenario has been brewing for decades. However, it was mostly the knowledge of some scholarly and astronomical circles until just the last few years. Now it’s being talked about on every form of media that exists.
The Mayans did not prophecy or predict 2012 Doomsday. There is a lot more involved in the phenomenon than that. If it weren’t for the chaos in the world, the ominous different planetary alignments and a few other unsettling events and conditions all coming together at once, Winter Solstice 2012 probably would be just another December day. Somehow, it doesn’t look like that’s going to be the way things are going to go. It is almost palpable in the atmosphere, but exactly what will happen remains to be seen. It could be any one or any number of the follow predictions and prophecies:
- Asteroids, meteors or a great comet striking Earth with very little or absolutely no warning.
- Solar coronal mass injections, plasma strikes and other damaging influences from the Sun.
- Magnetic polar shift or polar reversal.
- Physical polar flip or shift caused by the crust breaking free from the molten core of the Earth.
- The arrival of the Anti Christ, New World Order and Armaggedon.
- Apocalypse, the rapture and judgment of humanity world religions are prepared for.
- World War III and nuclear or biological warfare attacks.
- Unstoppable mutated flu pandemic or other outbreak of disease that is uncontrollable. (Not the swine flu! Something far, far worse.)
- Galactic core explosions sending super cosmic waves to Earth by gamma ray bursts. Such a gamma ray burst would no doubt be far more powerful and destructive than those produced by smaller heavenly bodies.
- Cosmic rays from the solar system or the universe.
- Near space super nova event.
- Gamma ray busts from nearby exploding stars as the pressure of the approaching Milky Way increases. Incidentally, the tsunami that devastated Taiwan in 2004 most likely was caused by the gamma ray burst less than 24 hours before the towering wave hit land, as no ocean floor earthquake registered as is the expected conductor of such a super wave.
- Massive earthquakes and super volcanoes in both known locations and places none ever existed before.
- Flooding, towering tsunamis and extreme weather storms in the shape of hurricanes, tornadoes and typhoons of unprecedented power.
- Global warming or an ensuing ice age.
Alien and UFO invasion, most likely not a friendly encounter of the third kind. While there are most likely two sides to these unknown races as there are both good and bad elements in humanity, somehow it seems rather unlikely that a benign group would conduct an invasion.
